Yes! I have gotten a job offer from the Ky Dept of Transportation that I of course accepted. I look forward to feeling useful again and look forward to the spring and summer days out doors. Hopefully there are "blue sky" days ahead. Hope to see you outdoors this season!

What the future holds.

I have been out of work for several months. The worries and stress wore me down and as much as I love my family and how they support me at times the only peace I found came as I walked the woods and prayed. I have finally found a position that starts on Friday. Some friends are helping make my dream of hunting elk come true this fall and I hope to hunt hogs in the Big South Fork WMA this year. Here's hoping 2009 is a great year for all of you. Hope to cross paths in the woods or on the water.

Intro/ What I'm about.

I have been in love with the outdoors since the first trip squirrel hunting with my grandfather. The solitude of the woods "untangles the knots in my rope" and regular trips ensures I am much more pleasant to be around. I have three children that like the outdoors but none of them are as nuts over it as I am. Whether it is hiking, fishing or hunting I love it all. I have three grandchildren and hope they grow up loving it as much as I do but that remains to be seen when they are older. I will sign off for now hope our trails cross in the woods or on the water one day.
